P.These guys seem to be my new neighbors. About a dozen of them have made a home in the oak across from my front door.
They make a mess and make a lot of noises, but they are pretty to look at. Munching on the acorns is something new to me, I didn’t know they even like them, but they eat in gulps for about an hour, go flying about, and then come back to relax for the day. Pigeons or Doves? Not sure, but I am sure they are one or the other. Let’s take a vote?
They sure as heck don’t have to worry about being skinny. As a matter of fact, they are hefty in size and know there is plenty to eat here.
Anyway, welcome to the neighborhood bird friends.
A word for the human population around here: Don’t walk under the trees.

They kind of look like a dove. A dove made a nest in the tree in my yard. Had 2 babies. They grew fast and left the nest. I put pictures on my blog. They have eyes like the birds in your picture. Your birds are a lot bigger though.
