It is almost time to ring in the New Year of 2018 by just a few hours. This is the watch my Dad went by every day of the year. He received it from my grandparents on his birthdate 9-11-49 as inscribed on the back of it. He wore it every single day for as long as I can remember. Now I wear it. So I thought it fitting for the last of my self-portraits to photo his watch for the new year. I wear it when I ride and to celebrate life. He always dreamed differently than the norm. That is something I recognized from a long time ago, and in that, it is a good part of my being as I am the same self. Today, I celebrate who I am. Born, and am Kathleen Jennette Short. My Father’s Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Wife, Co- Mom, and Doggy Mom to Murray and Loyal Friend to those who get me.
