Well now. I made it another year. I almost quit. I almost just walked away. I almost had nothing to post many days, but I took a shot and now two years later on the 365 Days Blog we are on its final day of 2018. With the help of photo challenges in particular Lens-Artists and Cees Black and White, I got through another year of some good and not so good pics of this diary of sorts.
This is the last Lens Artists Photo Challenge of 2018, which is #26 A Photographic Review of 2018 is shown below. Some of you have been on this journey from the start…Thank you. Some of you are new… Thank you. I have enjoyed your blogs and comments as well and being inspired is always a value for future thoughts on not just my photography but my blog Tales From My Lens. Thank you all for being a part of this journey.
So I hereby submit my final post for 2018.
This was a good day. I got out from under the construction and took a long ride. Felt good and I can reflect back on this day and feel it again.

The garden became a priority. Much has been cleaned out because of the fires, but the growth took hold and the blooms happened.
The fence at the Grateful SHE’d has vines and flowers blooming all about.
Getting out and neighborly was on the menu. I love the Summers here and the Ranch below is active with riders.

Riding the bike to Born Free is great. It happens in the neighborhood and I feel like I am in a mini Sturgis for the weekend.

The house went through and didn’t go through what it should have. The trouble with contractors and not getting it together really took a toll and I will never ever tell anyone to do this. The sloughing off of job duties got to me and I just want it done. However, in saying that, I am comfortable in knowing it almost is…

The Oaks. I can’t love them more. *Yes I can*.

The Grateful SHE’d received her sign over the door and that basically completed it this year. The garden surrounding it will always change, but the shed is done.

New additions to the yard happened all over. I think this one, next year, will be a wall… and no one was forced to pay for it and it represents good times.

I finally gave in to planting seeds. Originally I was going to wait until the house was done…*ummm, nope+. So I planted this year. Spring will tell if it was worthy to do so.

It might not be much to anyone or none for that matter, but this blog has kept a pretty good journal of the past two years which was the purpose. Honestly, I am not sure I will do this for 2019. I haven’t much figured it out. Maybe just once a month since I did it once a day, then once a week so monthly may be next in order and posting on the last day of the month *thinking out loud on the keyboard*. Concentrating on Tales From My Lens is the goal for this year, and traveling is on the agenda. Photo Challenges are always fun and I very much like being a part of them, so if they continue I will be partaking.
I sign off 2018 wishing all a Very Happy New Year. I hope it brings much joy, happiness, and peace in every step of your walks throughout 2019.

I’m far from the best follower but I did follow this challenge off and on this year. I’m considered a photo a day challenge for 2020, and I just have a question about how you set up this blog post. Did you add these photos to your media library on WordPress and then make a gallery? Thanks and Happy New Year!

I found it was easier to use the WordPress Gallery. Thanks for following. I have till the end of January to decide how I want to do this year. It was a struggle at times because I actually had to sit at a computer to do this other than being mobile. Good luck with your blog posts, I will be checking them out!

I so know that feeling! There are just some days I have 0 motivation. I really have no idea how I get through, but somehow I find whatever it is I need and get it done. I think it wouldn’t be as bad if I didn’t have to go out everyday and pic something. This year I am just trying to find a better way to streamline things so it doesn’t take as much time to write the post. I really like your idea of doing your photos throughout the week and then doing a weekly roundup. I think that would make things easier. And I do agree with you how doing these really documents the year. I love going back to my first two and jogging the memory! I gave myself an out for this year as well, but I just haven’t been able to say no. But knowing how hard it is to do this, combined with that amazing feeling of accomplishment you get at the end, I admire what you have done! No matter what you decide, know that it is the right decision for you!

This is excellent, that you’ve finished it despite some second thoughts during it. I’m sure you’ll be happy to have this diary of sorts. Probably that’s why I’m blogging as well (even if not as regularly or organised), that and the feedback which I’m hungry for. I wish you a great year, no matter how you decide to go through it.
